Time counts here. Once you reach the threshold, any upvote you receive is lost. As an example, once you are at the 200 rep limit, getting the sequence of 1 up - 1 down and 1 down - 1 up will lead to different results. 1 up - 1 down will result in the 1 up being lost and the 1 down to be counted, so you end up at 198 1 down - 1 up will first bring you to ...

The election has not started yet. Currently we are in the nomination phase where users can nominate themselves. The voting will begin in 2 days (Monday, 09th July 2018, 8 PM UTC). On the right side on the nomination site you can see when the election starts. You can find more info here (Disclosure: the answer is from me)

That's not due to your reputation; it's because we haven't defined any other migration paths. When we graduated last November we gained access to custom migration paths, and there was some discussion about which ones to set up. At the time we didn't have a lot of outbound migrations and ended up not defining any. The better part of a year later, it might ...

Voting the candidates up/down happens in the primary phase of the election, which we might end up not getting because the primary only occurs if there are 10 or more candidates. After ...

I'm not sure I totally agree with the idea that we should have no migration paths; I've seen several questions which I feel would be much better suited to Physics or Astronomy. This subject feeds in again to the idea of whats on topic and whats not and the scope of this site. Personally I feel that if it is a "how does this work based on reality/science" ...
